Red and gold doily finished

I have finished the red and gold doily, and my sister in law loves it! I just need to block it before I post it to hopefully get there for her birthday. My initial uncertainty about the gold (altin basik 30) zig zag evaporated as the final red (milford 40) row pulled this lovely Ann Orr pattern together.  This is one of 2 vintage patterns I am really enjoying at moment.

Until next time, happy tatting

Beautiful. You complete so many beautiful pieces.

    • Thanks Skunklady. I do have a lot of unfinished objects (UFOs) too…. When I look through previous posts I recall quickly the things I haven’t finished, lol.

You do quite a few larger pieces. I have done mainly motifs. I think it’s time I pick out something larger…

    • Yes, I decided about 2 years ago to have one bigger project on the shuttles at one time, and have smaller ones too. I do love this Ann Orr pattern, perhaps you would like that book sent as part of your prize. 😉
